lets create challenge-95-ribbon-or-twine

Had my first trip out in the car yesterday since my Sciatica nerve begun and my back was so sore. We were only popping to B&M and for a coffee.Even though I feel better round the house the same doesn't apply out and about, so I think I need a bit longer before I next go out.We live and learn. Had a nice breakfast at Frankie & Bennies - yummy pancakes, bacon and maple syrup and Shamus had a big breakfast - lovely treat out together. Bit naughty but very nice. Shamus cooked a BBQ tonight and my Mum in law and Shannen came which was nice.

The plan today is to be good and take things easy with a touch of crafting hopefully. What about you? Have you anything good planned?

Thank you for popping by.

Forgotten Funky Time

Morning,

Warning.... you may need your sunglasses on for this post!!! It's that time of the month when we re-visit a 'Forgotten Funky' from Funkyhand's array of products.
This time our chosen download is: Rainbow Polkadots and I think I went all out and extremely dotty.

Aren't these papers fabulous.... this is 1 download that I haven't used before so it was fun to work with it. You have a choice of 26 papers in all these colourways - wow. I love it.
Anyway here's my gift bag and tag - all homemade and made with my new tool bought by my lovely kind hubby - a We R Memory Keepers bag making board. This is my 3rd attempt, my 1st ones were a little interesting. He surprised me with it and a box making board while I've been poorly. What a guy!

I used as many of my dies as I could - butterfly, poinsettia, leaves, grass and I rolled my own roses.Such fun.I loved it when I'd made it but I think I've gone OTT what do you think?

Challenges

Don't forget to pop over to see what the rest of the Funkettes have made over on Get funky and craft blog.Feel free to tell us what you think.

Thanks for popping by. Here's hoping my lovely daughter Shannen is feeling abit better today as she's got tonsilitis bless her. She's 19 but I still keep texting her to see how she is every hour or so as it hurts for her to talk.
Have a super weekend lovely friends.

Funky Thursday

Morning,

Wow, has it still been hot where you are?  I've never known a Summer like it.I don't know why I bother doing my make up as it just slides off my face.My hair isn't much better but it's getting a trim today thank goodness and it'll be my first day out for over 2 weeks. It's only round the corner so hubby is going to push me round in my wheelchair.

I'm here with something a little bit different today- well it is for me anyway! It is my turn to do the blog post over at Get Funky and Craft and I stepped out of my comfort zone and had a play with some coasters that I'd got free through the post. To decorate my coasters I used the Funkyhand Memories in Sepia paper download. The idea popped in my head yesterday morning thankfully so I gave it a go.

I also used the  Full of beans digital stamp and took it into my graphics program to paper piece it and printed them out.

Don't forget that  Funkyhand are on Facebook  and we have a new Facebook page called Funky Hand Crafting. We'd love to see any of your Funkyhand creations so please don't hold back. You can add your pics to the facebook pages or in the comments under the Get Funky and Craft  post. We need your link though so we can visit you.

Challenges:

Thank you for popping to see me and for all the lovely get well wishes, you are so kind.I am feeling alot better now thank you and hoping to be out and about very soon.

Happy Birthday

Morning lovely friends,

Did you think I'd fell off the face of the earth? I have still been around doing the odd commenting but no posts due to starting with my Sciatica Nerve - never had it before and don't want it again once it is better. I have been spending alot of time laying on my left side, throwing lots of painkillers down my neck. Its easing but I'm still getting alot of pain.Haven't been able to sit to craft much either - very sad..........
Anyway enough of my explanation - if I haven't been commenting much etc you now know the reason. Very naughty body.

Today is my lovely Step Dad's birthday 'Happy Birthday Bob' - so here's a card I made using a fun digi stamp which I treated myself to From the heart stamps - birdbrain wine. Well it did cheer me up!!!!! I also followed the sketch from Here. All coloured with promarkers.

Challenges:

Have a nice day, I've got paperwork to do - check we're being good with money!!!

A Winter's Scene

Morning lovely crafters,

It's time for a new challenge over at
and it's my turn to choose the theme which is:
'A Winter's Scene.'
So lets see any scene that you'd find in Winter at Christmas time.Remember it has to be a Christmas creation.

I was wondering what to make for my card and looked through all my Christmas stamps - you know how I love to stamp..... My lovely friend Sheila gave me this Indigo blu stamp which is gorgeous ( I have some others from her but haven't had a chance to ink them yet).
I used versafine brown ink, another sentiment stamp, stickles for a frosty feel and a fine liner for some faux stitching to frame my card a little more.

Again our sponsor this month is:
with a great prize!

So why not get started on those Christmas makes early and join in with our challenge. We'd love to see you over there and the teamies have made some beautiful creations.
