More Kraft!

Hi all,

Hope you've all had a nice weekend.  It's been all go here getting the house tidied up abit more for more house viewings. Got a 2nd vioewing today so you never know....

Had a little time in the garden which was nice as it was a lovely sunny day on Sunday.  Hubby decided to tidy up the paintwork in the living room but realised the sample pot didn't match so we were at B&Q yesterday morning at 8am (early start) to get a pot of paint and the living room got a nice coat of paint.Such a handy man..... I've still been trying to take things easy like a good girl.!!!!

It's midway reminder time over at Nutcrafters and we want to see some kraft card or paper on your creation.  So here's what I came up with on Monday:
Well I went a little kraft crazy - can you tell.I used my De'sire die to cut out the shape that frames the new soon to be released digital stamp(coloured with promarkers) - she's a cutie. I also used my Marianne designs- poinsettia die, english rose die and leaf die.I added a wooden button and some lace.

Using Acetate!!!!

Morning everyone,

Myself and the rest of the Funkyhand design team have been playing with the soon to be released Wedding paper collections and I have to say I never been so inspired by such a fantastic collection.  Good job Anice

I decided to have a go with a piece of crafting material that I've never really tried - Acetate.  I've had some for a few years now and it's the printable type so I decided to challenge myself - argh scarey.

What was I worrying about, it is so versatile and it was great to venture out of my comfort zone for a change so here's my card with an acetate bubble:
Here's what I printed out and gathered together:
2 sheets were printed out - 1 sheet of acetate with a backing paper printed onto it and a 2nd sheet of paper.
I cut out a section of acetate and scored it on both sides, enough so that it'll wrap around a pice of card and attach with very strong tape.

Then put the card together.
It's good to try a new technique or different materials. Hey if I can do it - anyone can!

I'd love to see what you make with any Funkyhand product so we can pop and leave you a comment. So don't be shy and pop over to Get funky and craft and join in. You can also pop onto our Facebook page and post your pics too.

Have a super day

Lots of hearts

Happy Saturday......

Why is it happy - well it's not down to the weather is it!  My chest is much better and I'm feeling more like my old self at last.  Sadly it's one of my learners 60th birthday today and I was invited to the do but it's it bit too soon to party!!!! Boring I know.  I thought I'd show you the beautiful card I was sent from my close friend Sheila who is quite a crafter and extremely talented. She's a newbie to cardmaking but with her ever increasing stash you would never know.If I ever run out of something I just call Sheila's craft shop - Ha ha. It's true and her partner Tom is quite nifty with the Hougie board and cardmaking too:

Sheila's card

I've had a fab day crafting and trying to stay warm - brr, supposed to be nicer tomorrow fingers crossed. I had to put the heating on for an hour as I had goosebumps and that's with a jumper and leggings on - life eh!

Shannen had a wild ladies night last at KC stadium in Hull - strippers that's all I'm going to say.  Needless to say when she rolled home this afternoon from staying at her friends she was a little ropey and needed a power nap...... Think it was a good one! Shamus is still full of the cold I gave him bless him - I was just sharing!

Here's a card I made while the yummy chicken thighs and homemade wedges were cooking:
Quite rustic I feel.  Would you believe the pocket is from an envelope - I had a light bulb moment after embossing it and decided I preferred the de-bossed side and found the pocket.I used the images from Polkadoodles sundae of seasons - the gingerbread couple are so cute, shaped frame & big heart - Picknix vol.1, inked with distress ink, Computer printed sentiment inked, heart buttons from my friend Sheila and bakers twine.

We'd love to have you joining in with us so I hope to see you over there.

Challenges:

Had an hour or so out with my daughter yesterday, she wanted some company. So she drove me and pushed me around in my chair - she's so good.  We had a bit of a shop at Outfit then she took me into hobbycraft for some card blanks.  I was very good  and didn't get anything else. They've moved everything around in the Hull one so that was abit annoying but it is easier all being downstairs.Been a busy day with the shopping being delivered early, washing, cooking a roast and stripping the beds - supposed to be a steady day - needless to say a rest is in order tomorrow.
