One layer card

Hi,

Well I'm over the moon, my daughter did really well in her GCSE's and really made us so proud.  I knew she would do well.  Poor bairn was so nervous, she was passing all her nervous energy onto me.  I don't think I was as jittery for my own exams in the 80's.  Not that long ago of course......  We've had a nice takeaway and a couple of glasses of wine so giggles a plenty - all in the name of celebrating her achievement of course!  Anyway I decided I'd do a one layer card to match the Polkadoodles challenge and it happened to fit a few others.
I used a Fairy Flutterby Bevvieboo stamp from Polkadoodles, the sentiment and butterfly are from this set too.I also added some glitter to form a butterfly trail.  All coloured with promarkers.  Quite a simple card but I really enjoyed this style for a change.

Challenges:
Polkadoodle challenge 33 - single layer
Promarker challenge week 113 - no patterned paper
Hooked on craft challenge 6 - Things with wings - butterflies
Stamps r us challenge - anything goes

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Thank you card

Hi,

Today's card was put together last night, I'd spent part of yesterday afternoon colouring my LOTV image and I knew what papers I wanted to use - mind you I changed my mind at the last minute but was blank on how I wanted the card to look.  It's amazing how a nice warm bath makes everything come clear in your mind, so I had to crack on and I got it finished at last.
I used: papers-curio paper pad & cosmo cricket(earth love) paper pad, gold mirror card, LOTV stamped image, decoupaged butterflies and sunflower coloured-promarkers, sentiment - from stash, pearls & card candy - coloured with a gold pen or promarkers, paper flowers -from stash.
Challenges:
Pollycraft challenge - challenge 106 -Autumn colours
Lili of the valley thursday challenge 109a - thank you
Aud sentiments challenge 35 - anything goes
Top Tip Tuesday challenge 47 - thank you
Stamp Something challenge - thank you
Do you stackup challenge 33 - thank you

I was surprised by how many challenges my card fitted.  I don't think we send enough thank you cards.  It means such alot to receive a thank you card.

Hope you've got a lovely sunny day wherever you are. I was a winner for my round pink and black easel card at the Squiggle Stamps challenge. I've just received an email with my prize of 6 Goth kidz digi stamps from their new range - woo hoo!!!  Sorry I'm a little excited.

Must go as more washing to put on and maybe a little time for crafting before the shopping is delivered.

Funky round pink birthday card

Hi,

The sun is shining and I've had an early start popping to the shops this morning with my hubby - I love it when it's first thing in a morning and really quiet, I hate crowds.  We were all done and back home for 10.30. I managed to pick up a pack of 50 white 5 by 5 scalloped white 300gsm cards and envelopes while I was out. We have to treat ourselves now and again.Really chuffed as they are fab quality for £5.29 from Boyes, Goole.  A cuppa and a rest recharged my batteries.  It's been a lovely couple of days with the weather and I've been dying to get out and do some gardening but what with my back and arm playing up I've been sensible and just pottered about doing abit of crafting as well as housework.  Far too sensible I know  - bring the real Debbie back! Before lunch I thought I'd have a play with a digi stamp I got as a freebie from Squiggle stamps and enter their challenge.  My easel card also fitted a few other challenges which is a bonus.
Unusual colours for me and a very funky image.
I used, black card, black and silver foiled card,Kate Knight paper, sentiment, image coloured with promarkers (Miss Ruby by Squiggle Stamps), buttons, a gem, flowers and swirls - marianne die and lace coloured with a pink promarker.

Challenges:
Squiggle stamps - pink and black challenge, added option of lace.

White on White!

Hi,

I'm back again and I thought i'd have a go at a white on white Christmas card.  I'd treated myself to a snowflakes die by Marianne designs and a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder  at the end of last week. This was my first time using them - I love them!  It's been a miserable day here so I've pottered around the house and done a few jobs then had a little play......  So without further ado here's my card:
I used: pearlescent white paper for my snowflakes(marianne designs die) and my cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder, used a dotty cuttlebug embossing folder, white ribbon,  the reindeer stamp image is from Pink Gem Designs it's a free digi stamp at the moment and I used a freebie robin stamp image from my stash. The images were coloured with promarkers.
Challenges:
Pink gem challenge 27 - white on white
Christmas blog challenge - white on white only
Christmas stampin - gimmea bird
Simon says stamps challenge - all white
Sparkles forum christmas challenge - robins

Hope you like it.  Some news -  I won the new Polka doodles Magical Winter cdrom part one from the lovely Enfys a few days ago.It was a blog candy.  Really chuffed. Must have a good look around it tonight.  The latest dental saga with my hubby is after the extraction of his wisdom tooth last Wed he's had to pay another visit to them today as the packing they put in the hole kept falling out.  For the last few days he's been putting new dressings in and putting up with the pain.Poor fella never complains but he's been in some pain... They've repacked the hole now and given him antibiotics.  Just heard from him that it keeps coming out again. Grrrrrrrr dentists!!  He's not had a proper meal at teatime since last week.  It's been ready brek or soft cereal.  Less cooking for me but it's such a shame.  Here's hoping.

Off for a bath now and need to tackle the dumping ground i.e. the dining room come craft room!.

New Home card!

Hi,

Well it's the beginning of a new week, where does the time go? I needed to make a New Home card for my Crafty Mum in law.  I had a ball making it as I was stamping, using my promarkers, and blending with my distress inks. Such fun.  It looked abit bare when I'd finished so added some flowers and button and it looked much better.Hope you've had a lovely weekend, the weather has been fab but rather warm....... I spent a lovely day with my daughter Shannen on Friday, visiting a few shops, a trip to the cemetary to pop some pretty flowers on my Gran's and Auntie's grave - I haven't been able to go at all this year so felt much better once I'd been. Then it was time for a nice cuppa and a muffin at Costa Coffee to recharge the old batteries - it hit the spot perfectly!  On Saturday we went to a BBQ at my Mum in law's new home which was nice - had felt pretty sore and my right arm had started playing up again but it was nice to have a meal with the family. No cooking for me,definately a bonus and yesterday was a day to take it easy with a little bit of washing.
Anyway enough blethering onto my card:
Papers:Whiff of joy paper pad,Kanban houses, skin tones promarkers, ribbon, walnut stain distress ink,3 pearls, buttons and die cut flowers from my stash.
Challenges:
Your next stamp challenge 47 -3 2 1 recipe - 3 embellishments - 3 buttons, 2 patterned papers, 1 image.
Crafts and me challenge 45 - ribbon - use ribbon on your project.
